Waiting for Edward
36x36in acrylic on canvas
Shortly after the beginning of the 21st century, I revisited three of my favorite paintings of the 20th century.
This is my take on Edward Hopper's incomparable "Night Hawks". In the original, a man (often said
to be Hopper, himself) sits at the counter next to a red headed woman. I moved the clock back to the time
before he arrives and added a bull terrier to keep the readhead company.
