"Fraser River Sleigh Ride"

Sometimes the deckhand will stay on the barge for a short trip.  When I was decking my skipper
refered to that as "taking a sleighride".  (My nephew, Cameron, posed for the deckhand here.
I painted him in a Canucks T-shirt.   Cameron is not a Canucks fan).

I used this painting to illustrate The Deckhand, an article I wrote for Western Mariner Magazine.
